4 palm varieties from 4 to 10 ft — Queen Palms and Fan Palms purpose-built for hotel lobbies, resort pool areas, and large commercial atriums. NFPA 701 and EN 13501 fire-rated.
The artificial palm tree is the defining plant of resort and hotel design — and the most demanding to execute convincingly at commercial scale. A real Queen Palm or Canary Island date palm in a hotel lobby requires specialist irrigation, regular frond removal, pest management, and a climate-controlled environment that most commercial interiors simply cannot provide. LaySun's commercial artificial palm tree range solves all of these problems: premium PE fronds moulded from botanical specimens, robust steel armature cores, and full fire certification for use in any public hospitality space. These are the artificial palm trees for hotel lobbies, resort pool decks, casino floors, cruise ship interiors, and large retail atriums across the USA, Europe, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
The two primary commercial artificial palm tree styles serve different spatial requirements. Queen Palms — our most popular hotel lobby palm — feature graceful arching fronds and a slender trunk that reads as elegant and tropical without overwhelming mid-height spaces. At 4 to 7 ft, they work perfectly flanking reception desks, framing entrance corridors, or anchoring seating alcoves. The Queen Palm in a round pot and Queen Palm in a white pot offer distinct aesthetic choices: the round pot reads as more naturalistic and resort-like, while the white pot integrates with contemporary minimalist hotel interiors. Fan Palms, by contrast, are the statement piece for large-volume spaces. The single-trunk Fan Palm from 7 to 10 ft and the double-trunk Fan Palm at 8 to 9 ft are regularly specified for double-height hotel atriums, airport lounges, and shopping centre food courts where dramatic vertical impact is required.
Tropical palm fronds are among the most technically demanding foliage to replicate convincingly in artificial form. The characteristic ribbed texture, the way light catches the underside of each pinnate leaflet, and the subtle colour graduation from base to tip all contribute to the believability of the final product. LaySun's commercial artificial palm trees use injection-moulded PE fronds taken from genuine botanical specimens. Each frond is individually wired and positioned by hand to replicate natural drape and asymmetry. Unlike flat PVC palm fronds that appear obviously synthetic under hospitality spot lighting, PE fronds hold their shape and colour year after year without fading or curling.
Commercial artificial palm trees in hotels, resorts, casinos, and restaurants must meet the fire certification requirements of the relevant jurisdiction. In the USA this means NFPA 701; in Europe EN 13501; in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries local civil defence fire codes that align with international standards. All LaySun commercial artificial palm trees carry NFPA 701, EN 13501, and GB 8624 B1 fire-retardant certification. Certificates are included with every commercial order. For outdoor pool areas and terrace applications, UV-stabilised PE fronds are available that resist colour fade under direct sunlight for a minimum of three years in full sun exposure.
